This internship report consists of evaluation appertaining to financial data reconciliation process of PT. ABC to provide accuracy and consistency in its financial accounts for the purpose of preparing reliable financial statements. The internship was conducted in 2021 in a hybrid working condition that combines working from office with working from home. Evaluations are performed by comparing the reconciliation practice that is conducted by PT. ABC with compliance to the generally accepted applicable concept, principle, and procedures of reconciliation that are manifested in the standard operating procedures issued by the company. This report also provides brief description of the history and progress of the company’s digital transformation process to bring context to the relevance and significance of the account reconciliation practice of the company that is done manually with Excel spreadsheet. Evaluation results signify that reconciliation practice in terms of examining data correctness and congruence is in compliance to the applicable standard operating procedures issued by the company. While reconciliation practice in terms of periodic implementation is yet to fit the applicable standard. This report also presents the author’s self-reflections upon the process of conducting and reporting this internship experience.
