Analisis Dampak Merger pada Kinerja Bank dalam Jangka Panjang (Studi Kasus: PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk dan PT Bank OCBC-NISP Tbk)
This research aims to analyze the impact of the merger of PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk and PT Bank OCBC-NISP Tbk on their financial performance and non-financial performance for the period 2004-2019 and 2007-2019, using secondary data such as financial statements and other published reports. Financial performance is measured using financial ratio analysis and market value analysis. Non-financial performance is measured by using the growth of customer funds, branch office growth, and employee productivity. Analysis the impact of merger is conducted by comparing the performance of banks before and after the merger, the performance between the merged banks, and the performance between the merged banks and non-merged bank. This research shows the bank’s performance after the merger is better which is mainly seen from the ratio of CAR, NPL, Market Capitalization, Total Customer Funds, and Employee Productivity. The performance of OCBC-NISP is better than CIMB Niaga. The performance of the merged bank does not have a significant difference from the non-merged bank except for CAR, ROA, LDR, and Employee Productivity.
