This research is a study on managers to CEOs and directors of First Oil and Gas (pseudonyms) to study the effects of framing effect and adverse selection on escalation of commitment in decision making. However, this research may depend on the job rotation by the participants of this experimental study. This study aims to examine whether the framing effect and adverse selection might affect escalation of commitment moderated by job rotation in decision making. This study uses an experimental design, ANOVA factorial 2 x 2 x 2. The independent variables are framing effect with the decision options of negative and positive framing, adverse selection, and job rotation. Instrument results were analyzed using a 2 x 2 x 2 factorial ANOVA with the type of framing effect and adverse selection as within-subjects variables and escalation of commitment as the dependent variable. The results of this study are in line with the previous research of Liu, et al. (2019) where adverse selection may triggers managers to take risks which may result in escalation of commitment. Furthermore for the framing effect, this study is in line with Feldman and Wong (2018)’s study where framing effect negatively affects managers' decision making. This research is also in line with Chong and Suryawati (2011) whereby described that job rotation may affect managers' decisions in order to de-escalate their commitment.
