Leading Hospital Business Post-Coronavirus Pandemic
There is current worldwideoutbreak of new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) which originated from Wuhan in China and has now spread to 199 countries. Governments, business institutions, and consumers are under increased pressure to stop the outbreak spreading to global health emergency. Post COVID-19 pandemic, the healthcare industry is on the cusp of a transformation that will affect all stakeholders. The paper describes how hospitals can either lead this transformation as digitally innovative healthcare institutions or resist this inevitable change. The future direction of hospital business is defined by consumer-driven care, interoperable data, open and secure digital platform.
