How Could the Airline Industry in Indoneia Survives Through Covid-19? - Tourism Perspective
The study sets its objective to answer the question how the airline industry could survive through Covid-19 base on tourism persperctive. It will also describe plan of crisis management after pandemic for airline industry in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach, using the method of online desk research and direct observation on research object. All of the data is analyzed by using descriptive qualitative. Findings show that there is a need of involvement from all stakeholders in maintaining aviation industry and air transport industry, so they will be able to survive during this pandemic. Government and Banks (including financial aid agency) are expected to provide financial support, to maintain cash flow of every flight operator. Strict regulations from the aviation and aviation authorities are also needed to maintain the optimism amd confidence of travelers before traveling. Air transport association which has always been reference for regulation of global airline industry, could help to provide aviation management standards, services to passengers, and ground handling. Aviation industry,s ability to be able to survive during and after a pandemic is also supported by other industries, including the digital industry, such as transport online booking platforms.
